WebApr 11, 2024 · The Centre for Study of Insurance Operations (CSIO) announced that it has finalized new Application Programming Interface (API) standards which allow systems programming that will enable brokers to quote and bind property and casualty (P&C) business directly in their broker management system (BMS). CSIO has three different sets of data standards, available to insurer and vendor members. XML Standard eDocs and real-time transactions are possible by using the XML Standard. EDI Standard CSIOnet relies on electronic data interchange (EDI) to exchange information. EDI is key to the batch processing – or scheduled downloads of documents.
